Pesto Pistachio & Almonds

A crunchy and flavourful pesto
This traditional Sicilian recipe features two of the most distinctive ingredients of our cuisine: pistachios and almonds, bound together by “Cosacavaddu” cheese, typical of the Iblean Mountains. A pesto with a sweet, delicate flavour and a fresh, aromatic scent.

Excellent as a starter on bruschetta or crostini, and for dressing pasta dishes, pizzas, savoury tarts and meat-based main courses (such as pork loin and roast meat).

Ingredients: 

Pistachios, almonds, Frantoi Cutrera extra virgin olive oil, “Cosacavaddu” cheese, sugar, salt, black pepper, nutmeg. Acidifier: lactic acid.
